2020 – Year of Vision in Your Beauty Business

[md-blog-header] Create And Achieve Your VisionWe are approaching the beginning of a new year and new decade and some are calling it the year of vision. What can you do differently in 2020 to create positive change in your beauty business?

The beginning of a new year gives us a fresh start so it’s important to direct your attention and thoughts on what you want.

One of my favorite ways to attract what I want in life is to create a vision board. While you can create a vision board any time of the year, the beginning of a new year presents a particularly powerful opportunity to fuel your business with renewed enthusiasm.

Let’s visualize what you want to create!

The Power of a Vision Board

If you’re familiar with the law of attraction, you probably understand the power of visualization. The method has even helped Olympic athletes improve performance and achieve their goals!

Not to mention, there’s the saying, “where your attention goes, energy flows.” Vision boards help you amplify the power of positive affirmation so you can attract what you desire into your life.

A vision board (or a dream board) is a collage of visual images and/or words that represent the life you want to live. You can make one by hand (e.g., cutting out and pasting together images from a magazine) or digitally (e.g., using Pinterest.)

A vision board may represent a specific area (e.g., your business) or your whole life in general. You need to create it yourself and make sure that it excites you every time you see it.

This scientifically proven method has been endorsed by many household names, including Jack Canfield and Deepak Chopra, as a way to turn your “ideal life” into reality.

“Your brain will work tirelessly to achieve the statements you give your subconscious mind. And when those statements are the affirmations and images of your goals, you are destined to achieve them”! – Jack Canfield

How To Create a Vision Board That Works

There is great power in putting a vision board together… and it’s fun too!

There is no right or wrong way to create your board. I personally love composing my boards with images of places I want to travel and people I admire.

Sometimes I pin 3-D things onto my boards, such as crystals or cards I received in the mail. I even pinned my badge from The Beauty Business Summit, because I love how it makes me feel.

The most important thing is to get started! Gather a few magazines that inspire you and cut out images, words, and phrases that you want to bring to life.

Of course, a vision board is more than an art collage project. It’s a manifestation of your deepest desires and goals that you want to achieve in life. A vision board is personal.

Here are a few tips to create a vision board:

Set an Intention

Connect to your vision through meditation, daydreaming, journaling, or daily rituals and consider multiple areas of your life. When you sit down to create your board, be in a calm and comfortable environment to put you in a positive headspace.

Focus On the Feeling

Focus on how you will feel when you achieve your goals and dreams. Not just the material things that you want to acquire, but rather your desired emotions every time you look at your vision board.

Contemplate On Your Vision Board Every Day

Place your vision board in an area so you can spend a few minutes once or twice a day contemplating what you’d like to create. Some people find it most effective when they review their board before meditation or before bed to prompt the subconscious mind during the dream state.

Believe In Yourself

It’s important to bring your vision to life through actions. For this to manifest in the physical world, you need to believe that you can achieve it. Put this manifestation into action. Acknowledge all progress you make and always practice gratitude.

When you set the right intention and visualize success with the help of a vision board, you’ll be able to bring everything that you desire into your life!
